Ingredients

  • 160g Hake fillet (or any white fish)
  • 120g Napa or white cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Medium carrot, julienned
  • 10ml Low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 5ml Sesame oil
  • 5ml Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 cm Fresh ginger, grated
  • Fresh cilantro and scallions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray.
  2. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. Reserve half for slaw.
  3. Brush hake fillet with half the soy-ginger glaze. Bake 18–20 minutes.
  4. Toss shredded cabbage and julienned carrot with remaining soy-ginger dressing.
  5. Plate slaw and top with flaked baked hake. Scatter sesame seeds, cilantro, and sliced scallions.
